Andy Warhol produced the cover for “Giant Size $ 1.57 Each”. The 1st edition of 75 sleeves with a black image printed directly on the coated white stock sleeve was produced in 1963. This album was released on the Popular Image Exhibition at the Washington Gallery of Modern Art, April – June 1963 and includes interviews by Art Director Billy Klüver with the artists in the exhibition such as Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Tom Wesselmann, Jasper Johns, Claes Oldenburg and Robert Watt. In 1971 the colored versions appeared in yellow, green, red and orange. These were also editions of only 75 copies per color, each painted by hand in color, making them all slightly different.
